4.4.4 Handling different potential (1.8 V or 2.5 V) by using EVDD VDD
When connecting an external device operating on a different potential (1.8 V or 2.5 V), it is possible to connect the
I/O pins of general ports by changing EV
DD0 to accord with the power supply of the connected device.
4.4.5 Handling different potential (1.8 V or 2.5 V) by using I/O buffers
It is possible to connect an external device operating on a different potential (1.8 V or 2.5 V) by switching I/O buffers
with the port input mode register (PIMxx) and port output mode register (POMxx).
When receiving input from an external device with a different potential (1.8 V or 2.5 V), set the port input mode registers
0 and 1 (PIM0 and PIM1) on a bit-by-bit basis to enable normal input (CMOS)/TTL input buffer switching.
When outputting data to an external device with a different potential (1.8 V or 2.5 V), set the port output mode registers
0, 1, and 7 (POM0, POM1, and POM7) on a bit-by-bit basis to enable normal output (CMOS)/N-ch open drain (V
