NOTE: The GTS 800 automatically transitions from STANDBY to OPERATE mode eight seconds after takeoff.
The unit also automatically transitions from OPERATE to STANDBY mode 24 seconds after landing.
Afterpower-up,theGTS800isinStandbyMode.TheGTS800mustbeinOperatingModefortrafctobe
displayedandforTAstobeissued.
SelectingtheOPERATESoftkeyallowsthetrafcunittoswitchfromStandbyModetoOperatingModeas
necessary.SelectingtheSTANDBY SoftkeyforcestheunitintoStandbyMode.
