Introduction
This chapter describes the procedures for connecting an external alarm to the
CS 1000E system.
This chapter contains the following procedure: Procedure 109: "Installing an
alarm using an alarm port assigned in LD 15" on page 452
The following are the two methods of connecting an external alarm to the
CS 1000E system:
• through an alarm port assigned in software
• through contacts in a QUA6 Power Failure Transfer Unit (PFTU)
