Entering Nortel IP Phone boot parameters
using manual configuration
Follow Procedure 98 to enter IP Telephone boot parameters using manual
configuration.

Entering IP Telephone boot parameters using manual configuration
1 Power the Nortel IP Phone.
Within four seconds, the Nortel logo appears.
2 When the Nortel logo appears on the display, you have one second to
press the four feature keys at the bottom of the display in sequence, from
left to right.
Note: If the Nortel logo times out, repeat step 1 and step 2.
3 For the following prompts:
a. Press the BKSpace (backspace) or Clear keys to change an entry.
b. Enter new values using the telephone’s keypad.
c. Press the OK key to accept your selection.
The Nortel IP Phone prompts:
DHCP? (0-No, 1-Yes): 0
4 Enter 0 for manual boot parameter configuration.
The Nortel IP Phone prompts:
SET IP: x.x.x.x
5 Enter the Nortel IP Phone IP address.
The Nortel IP Phone prompts:
NETMSK: x.x.x.x
6 Enter the subnet mask.
The Nortel IP Phone prompts:
DEF GW: x.x.x.x
