Enabling Packet
Tracing
Enable packet tracing for the accounting server using either the server
configuration file (acctconfig.xml) or Enterprise Management Suite.
Server Configuration
File
To enable packet tracing using the acctconfig.xml file:
1 Log in as root.
2 Stop the accounting server.
3 Go to the /opt/3com/VCX/acct/conf directory.
4 Edit the acctconfig.xml file for the accounting server.
For example:

<!-- Messages,output to console 0=OFF,1=ON -->^M
<PACKET_TRACING VALUE = "0"/>
5 Log in as cworks.
su - cworks
6 Start the accounting server.
Enterprise
Management Suite
To enable packet tracing for the accounting server using EMS:
1 From the Explorer tab, select the accounting server.
2 From the Properties tab, select the BES Common Configuration tab.
3 Double-click the PacketTracing field and select enable from the
drop-down list.
4 Click Save all.
