dLock2LEDsrepresentthecodecdecoderstatus.Whenadualchannel
receivemodeisused(i.e.L3DualmonoorG.722)theLock1LEDrepresentsthatthedecoderis
locked(or“framed”)totheincomingcodedaudioon“Line1”whiletheLock2LEDrepresentsa
decoderlockonanincomi
ngaudiostreamon“Line2”.
InthecaseofareceivemoderequiringbothBchannels(moststereomodeaswellasmono128)
bothlockLEDswillilluminateonlyonceacompatiblepairofbitstreamsarepresentonboth
“Lines”.

TheSe
ndbargraphLEDsrepresentthelevelofaudiointothecodersection.Thislevelis
affectedbyseveralfactors:TheoutputlevelofthedeviceconnectedtotheZephyrXstream;the
settingoftheCh"x"GainoptionintheAUDIOmenus;themixerknobsetting.
Aswithmostdigitalequi
pment,thesemetersarecalibratedindBfs(decibelsbelowfullscale).
Inotherwords,thetopLEDrepresentstheclippointandthenumbersarecalibratedindB
belowfullscale.Therefore,itisimportantthatyourlevelsbesettowherethetopLEDisnever
lit.
Thereisatra
nsitionofLEDcolorat‐10dBfs.Sincethemetersarepeakindicating,itwill
generallybesafetorunthingsintothered,dependingonthedesiredheadroomandthe
dynamicsofthematerial.Whensettinglevelswithasinewave(tone),alevelnearthered
greenbound
aryshouldbeused.

The individual level for the audio of each of the 4 mixer inputs (post fader) can be monitored
on the first AUDIO menu. This permits viewing the ratio of the 4 inputs in the mix shown on
the main SEND bargraphs.

Thelevelismonitoredinthedigitaldomainattheoutputofthedecoder.Thecalibrationand
