The feature is recommended for maiRxxes containing important infocrnation to be
saw3 and not accidentally erased (order taking, recorded information for
trars&ption). This is espiaUy important for mailboxes where more thari one
person may retrieve messages
With this attribute, a maiIbox recxives message waiting calls even ,if the greeting is
ON. Normally, a mailbox with the pe~~nai greeting ON does not receive Mage
Waiting Notikation when the greeting is ON.
TRANSFER TO A RINGING EXTENSION (May be assigned to
POFfl)
With this attribute, when ringback is detected, the %shiba VP System amnects the
caller to the extension and releases. The port is immediately free to hanqe the
next call. lIis is pxkarily used for calls going to the attendanb into se&e grou&
or into an ACD, call sequencer or Maptive Integrath. If the extension is busy,
the T&VP System informs the caller and offers to take a message, dial another
extension or dial /FJ for a&stance.
When this attribute is assigned to a port, the T& VP System transfers to a
ringing extension when the digits the caller entered are valid but iot defmed in the
USER table.
UY If the PBX supports a blind transfer, it is recommended the intercept
mailboxes (point af answer for callers dialingB or defaulting for a&stance)
have this attribute set to enable a blind transfer. When a caller defaults or
dials
q
for help, they are transferred to the extension instead of returned to
the Toshiba VP System.
If
the
PBX
or
Centrex stations are call forwarded
to the T~hiba VP System
and the Toshl3x VP System is “integrated” with the PBX or Centrex (called
station number sent to the Toshiba VP System on forwarding), Attribute 15
or
Attribute 34 should be used.

When the DIDE&M Trunk Interface is installed, it does not intercept calls to
a
ma&ox with this attribute. Not AppIicable to Tahiba VP Systems.
MAY SEND NETWORK MESSAGES IMMEDIATELY

For networking, this attribute allows messages to be sent as seem as possible once
they are addressed. If the mailbox has COS Attribute 17 -
IMMEDIATE
