Enabling DHCP
The Cisco IP Phones enable DHCP by default, but you can reset the protocol if it
becomes disabled. Use the following steps to enable DHCP from the phone.
Procedure
Step 1 Press the Menu softkey.
Step 2 Choose Network Config > DHCP Enable/Disable.
Step 3 Scroll to Enable and press Select.
A check mark appears next to the selected option.
Step 4 Press Back to exit the menu and save the change.

Disabling DHCP
If you do not use DHCP in your network, use this procedure to disable DHCP
before manually assigning IP addresses to Cisco IP Phones.
Note When DHCP is enabled in your network, you cannot complete procedures to
configure IP settings or TFTP options.
Procedure
Step 1 Press the Menu softkey.
Step 2 Choose Network Config > DHCP Enable/Disable.
Step 3 Scroll to Disable and press Select.
The Disable menu options display.
Step 4 Scroll to Activate and press Select.
