Line Preference – Incoming (No Line/Prime Line/Ringing Line)
Description A proprietary telephone user can select the method used to answer
incoming calls from the following three line preferences.
(1) No Line Preference
No line is selected when the user goes off-hook. They must
select a line to answer an incoming call.
(2) Prime Line Preference
The user can assign a prime line beforehand and answer a
call on that line, when multiple calls are received
simultaneously.
(3) Ringing Line Preference
When the user goes off-hook, they can answer a call ringing
at their telephone.
Conditions • Setting a new line preference feature will cancel the previous setting.
• If Prime Line Preference is selected and an incoming call arrives from a
line other than the prime line, it cannot be answered just by going
off-hook. The Prime Line should be assigned to a Single-CO button.
• If Ringing Line Preference is selected, going off-hook during the delay
time will not answer a line programmed for “delayed ringing”.
• A single line telephone is always set to Ringing Line Preference and
cannot be changed.
