9.3 Windows Media Player
Your Pocket PC Phone comes with Microsoft® Windows Media® Player 10 Mobile. Use
Windows Media Player to play audio and video les that are stored on your Pocket PC
Phone, a network, or the Internet.
Select Start > Programs > Windows Media to launch Windows Media Player.
Audio le formats supported include Windows Media Audio (.wma), and MP3 (.mp3).
The supported video le format is Windows Media Video (.wmv, .asf).

About Playlists
A playlist is a list of digital media les that play in a specied order. By using playlists, you
can group audio and video les together for convenient playback. For example, you can
create a playlist of your favorite songs by a particular artist or a playlist of work-related
video clips.
Playing a le on a network
To play streaming media, a song or video that is stored on the Internet or on a network
server, your Pocket PC Phone must rst be connected to a network as explained in Chapter
6. Then, in the playback screen, tap Menu in the Command Bar, and select Open URL....
Enter a URL in the URL eld, then tap OK.
Comprehensive On-line Help messages
Context-sensitive Help is available for all functions of Windows Media Player. Selecting Help
from the Start menu will open a Help topic providing comprehensive information related to
the current Media Player screen. For example, the initial screen that appears when you rst
invoke Windows Media Player is the Libraries screen. Selecting Help would then display
the Help topic entitled "About Libraries." In the Playlist screen, selecting Help will display
information about creating, editing, and using playlists. Or, when in the Playback screen,
selecting Help will access the main Help Contents.
