Configuring the conference system

If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, proceed as follows in order to set a
static IP address (see also the instruction manual of the operating
system):
̈ Click “Start” and select “Control Panel”.
The “Control Panel” window opens.
̈ Click “Network Connections“
A list of all the network connections on the computer appears.
̈ Right-click “Local Area Connection”.
A shortcut menu appears.
̈ On the shortcut menu, click “Properties”.
The “Local Area Connection Properties” window appears.
̈ Select “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” and click the “Properties” button.
The “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties” window appears.
̈ Click the “Use the following IP address” option button.
̈ In the “IP address” field, type your desired IP address, e.g.
192.168.0.12.
̈ In the “Subnet mask” field, type the subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
Both addresses have to be within the address range of the access point.
̈ Confirm your entries by clicking “OK”.
Do not use the IP address of the access point: 192.168.0.10.
