Opening the Connections Manager
To open the connections manager, tap the Connections icon. The Connections Manager opens displaying the Tasks tab.
The Connections Manager consists of two tabs: Tasks and Advanced
Task Tab The Task tab configures and manages your My Work Network settings. Click on the link to setup or
manage existing network accounts.
Advanced Tab The Advanced tab configures and manages network parameters and network cards.
Creating an External Modem Connection to an ISP
1. Obtain the following information from your ISP:
ISP dial-up access telephone number,
•user name,
password, and
TCP/IP settings.
2. Use a NULL modem cable to connect to an external modem.
3. Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Connections > Task tab.
