Setting the Path Offset
You can set the path offset to OFF, FIXED, or TABLE. The meanings of each of the path
offset settings are detailed below.
Path offset = OFF
When the path offset is OFF you are unable to carry out any activity with the fixed offset
and path loss tables and these values are set to N/A.
Path offset = FIXED
When the path offset is fixed, you can enter the fixed offset value. Enter the offset value
from the keypad and press the key. It should be noted that values must be
entered in the negative by first pressing the key.
Path offset = TABLE
A setting of table allows the user to specify one of five loss tables for the selected script.
To do this, move the cursor to “Path loss table”, press the key and enter the
number (1 to 5) of the loss table that will be used. Press the “Enter” soft key when the
selection has been made.
Creating or Editing a Path Offset Table
Path offset tables can be created or edited in the manner described below.
1. Specify the table number (1 to 5) at the “Path loss table” item as described in the
explanation above.
2. Position the cursor at the “edit” item directly beneath the table number and press the
key.
3. An offset value can be specified for any or all of the 79 frequencies used. Press the
“Frequency” soft key, press the
key on the keypad, and then enter the
associated offset.
4. When the “Enter” soft key is pressed the cursor is automatically positioned to allow
input of the offset value.
