MT8850A / MT8852A Bluetooth Test Set Configuring the MT8850A/MT8852A
Configuring the System Interfaces
The MT8850A/MT8852A can be controlled remotely from a PC through the GPIB or the
RS232 serial connecting ports on the rear of the instrument. This menu configures the
settings of these two interfaces.
1. Press the
hard key.
2. Choose “MT8850A/MT8852A”.
3. Press the key.
4. Choose “System interfaces”.
5. Press the
key.
The System Interfaces screens are displayed.
The GPIB address is the address by which the remote computer will recognise
the MT8852A.
The RS232 baud rate can be 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400 or 57600
baud but must be the same at both ends.
The RS232 mode can be EXT HCI when using an external PC for system
debugging or EXT COMMS during normal operation.
The RS232 Parity can be 0, 1 or None.
The RS232 Data length can be 7 or 8 bits
The RS232 Stop can be 1 or 2 bits.
6. Select the item that you want to change.
7. Repeatedly press the
key until the required value is displayed.
8. Press the
[1 of 2] soft key to move to the second screen or the [2 of 2] soft key to
move back to the first screen.
9. Press the
[Defaults] soft key to restore the factory set default values for the system
interfaces.
10. Press the
key to exit this screen.
