Personal Tab
To access the Personal tab, go to Start > Settings. The screen opens displaying the Personal tab.

Buttons Program the side buttons to perform specific tasks. For more information, see Buttons on page 7-3.
To use the Buttons setting, the HotKeys Utility must be initialized. Tap Start > Utils > HotKeys (the
icon is the same). The HotKeys utility initializes. Then, you can return to the Personal tab and tap
Buttons.
Headset Adjust audio settings for headset use; see Headset Control on page 7-5.
Input Customize the SIP. For details, see Input Panel Options on page 4-9.
Menus Customize what appears on the Start and New menus; see Adding a Program to the Start Menu on
page 7-6.
Owner Information Enter your contact information. This information will appear on the Today screen.
Password Password protect the terminal to limit access to your device.
Sounds & Notifications Set the sound volume, enable and disable sounds for specific actions, and set sound parameters for
system notifications.
Today Customize the look and the information that is displayed on the Today screen.
Note: Personal settings are stored in RAM memory. They are replaced by system defaults after each hard reset. For more
information about resets, see Soft Reset (Warm Boot) on page 2-11.
