E4. Setting the HF Radio Option Label
(This is a System Function)
The HF Radio Label is accessible and may be modified by the
handset user.
Start Maintenance Session. Press “6” (AIU), Press “2” (HF Radio),
and then press “+” (More).
The stored label for the HF Radio will be displayed.
To receive on-screen instructions for entering the 8-character alpha-
numeric label, press “0” (Help).
There are four different character lists: punctuation characters, upper
case letters, lower case letters and digits. By pressing “5” you may
switch between the various lists.
To move up a list (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) press “6.” To move down a list
(Z-A, z-a, 9-0) press “4.”
To move the cursor to the next label space press “*” (Cursor). If you
need to return to a previous label space continue to press “*” (Cursor).
To accept the label and return to the main menu, press “#” (OK).

Start a Maintenance Session. Press “6” (AIU). Press
“3” (Satcom / GroundCell) for desired setting.
Selecting “GroundCell” will display GroundCell on
the “Services” screen and allow this communication
link to be selected on the “Main” and “Hold” menus.
F2. Auto Link Switch Configuration
(This is a System Function)
Start a Maintenance Session. Press “+” (More) and
then “4” (Link). Press “3” (Enable/Disable Aircraft
Auto Link Switch) for desired setting.
Selecting the “Enable” option will cause a call setup
attempt to automatically occur over the alternate link
if the current link (see Section IV, E) is not available.
After the call is set up, the link in use is indicated on
the digital handset display.
