F2. Data Calls Using a CDBR-2 Data Station
1. Connect the Modem or PC’s RJ-11 cord into the Data Station RJ-11
jack. The Data Station must be configured for Modem (either via a
switch or hard wired).
2. Instruct the PC to dial the desired phone number.
NOTE 1: The service indicator (“4” for Modem) should not precede the number.
NOTE 2: If using a PC which will also be used to place fax calls, the Data Station
may be configured for PC (either via a switch or hardwired). In this case,
the service indicator (“4” for Modem) must precede the number.
NOTE 3: Ground-to-Air 4800 bps/9600 bps Modem calls are not currently
supported.
Baud Rate and Link Selection Dialing Prefixes
The following dialing prefix capabilities have been added as part of
software version 4.0A to facilitate the configuration of a specific
data/voice call. These prefixes will override any configurations/factory
default values which were previously programmed.

#4# Sets baud rate for call at 4800 bps
#9# Sets baud rate for call at 9600 bps (if both channels
are available)
NOTE: These prefixes override the station default baud rate (See Section VI, B20)
