B18. CDBR-2 and Remote Program Option
If the system includes a Cabin Distribution Bus Repeater Model 2
(CDBR-2) with connection to a fax machine, modem, or 4-wire
analog phone, a means to program this station via any digital handset
is available.
Place any digital handset off-hook, press 9(Setup), followed by
7(Remote Program). The screen will prompt you to ash hook the
station you wish to program. Temporarily lift the handset of the station
you wish to program. Then, returning to the digital handset that this
operation was initiated on, press *to continue. Now press +
(More) and enter the maintenance Passcode. All further setup will be
as if entered from the Remotestation. The Remote Program mode
will be terminated once the Maintenance Session is exited.
B19. CAS Set-Up for Service Availability
and Call In Progress Indication
(This is a System Function)
Beginning with software version 4.0A, Call Alerter Switch (CAS)
output #0 may be congured to indicate whether or not Air-Ground,
GroundCell or SATCOM are available. Airshow utilizes this feature
to indicate service availability. This feature is only required if
MagnaStar has 4.0A (or later) software and interfaces to both Airshow
and SATCOM systems.
Software version 4.0B (or later) utilizes CAS output #9 to indicate
through an annunciator whether selected handset(s) and CDBR-2
port(s) have an active call in progress.
Both of the above features require hardwiring from the respective
CAS switch to the Airshow and/or annunciator.
To program, start a Maintenance Session. Press +(More) then 4
(Link). Press +(More). Select 1 to enable default setting for CAS
0 or press +(More) to select link choosing 1for Air-Ground, 2
for GroundCell or 3 for SATCOM. Press + (More) again and then
1to congure CAS 9 Call In Progress indicator. Select inplane
numbers for handsets and CDBR-2 ports that are to be monitored.
