Call Screening
This feature is available only if your telephone system is equipped with an Eclipse
Voice Processing Unit. The call screening “Transfer Method” options can be pro-
grammed through your voice mailbox (see page 44). Depending on the Transfer
Method programmed for your phone, transferred calls from voice mail may be unan-
nounced (as usual), or one of the following may occur:
“Announce Only” Calls: Before voice mail transfers a call to you, a prompt asks
the caller to record his or her name. When you answer, you hear “You have a call
from (caller’s name).”
“Screened” Calls: Before voice mail transfers a call to you, a prompt asks the
caller to record his or her name. When you answer, you hear, “You have a call
from (caller’s name).” You have the following options:
To accept the call, press .
To replay the announcement, press .
To send the call to voice mail, press .
To forward the call to another extension, press and then enter the exten-
sion number.
To refuse the call, press .
