Beaming problems
I cannot beam data to another Palm OS PDA.
• Make sure the infrared communication of your CLIE handheld is
enabled.
• Confirm that your CLIE handheld and the other Palm OS PDA are
between ten centimeters (approximately 4”) and twenty centimeters
(approximately 8”) apart, and that the path between the two handhelds is
clear of obstacles. Beaming distance to other Palm OS PDAs may be
different.
• Move your CLIE handheld closer to the receiving handheld.
When someone beams data to my CLIE handheld, I get a
message telling me it is out of memory.
• Your CLIE handheld requires at least twice the amount of memory
available as the data you are receiving. For example, if you are receiving
a 30 KB application, you must have at least 60 KB free.
• Perform a soft reset. See “To reset (soft reset)” in the Online Manual on
page 251 for more information.
Recharging problems
When I place my CLIE handheld in the cradle, it does not
recharge.
• Make sure that your CLIE handheld is well seated in the cradle.
• Make sure that your recharger is plugged into an AC outlet that receives
power.
• Make sure that you are using the cradle and AC adapter that came with
the device.
• Make sure that your CLIE handheld is turned off or it will not fully
charge.
