Problem Cause and Solution
The Automated Attendant
System or Answering
System is on, but
incoming messages are
not recorded.
LThe remaining recording time or the number of
messages which can still be recorded is 0. Erase
unnecessary messages (pages 54, 59 and 78).
“Message full” is
displayed on the base
unit, and no new
messages are recorded.
LThe remaining recording time or the number of
messages which can still be recorded is 0. Erase
unnecessary messages (page 59).
I cannot access my
mailbox by pressing F
on the base unit, or
on the cordless
handset.
LMake sure that the base unit/cordless handset is in
standby mode.
LIf four cordless handsets or the base unit and three
cordless handsets are in use, you cannot access the
mailbox. Try again later.
LIf the Automated Attendant System or Answering
System is responding to four calls on separate lines,
you cannot access the mailbox. Try again later.
LYou are too far from the base unit. Walk closer to the
base unit.
LIf “Enter mailbox password” is displayed, the
direct handset access mode is OFF. Enter the mailbox
password and press .
I cannot access a mailbox
from a touch tone phone.
LThe Automated Attendant System or Answering
System may not respond if the tones are too short to
activate the unit. Press each key firmly.
While recording a
greeting message, the
unit starts to ring and
stops recording.
LTo answer the call, press the called line key. The
recording will stop. Start from the beginning after
hanging up.
During playback,
incoming call tone is
heard.
LTo answer the call, press the called line key. To resume
playback, press “F” after hanging up.
The display does not
show the name and/or
number of the caller
whose message is being
played.
LIf the caller’s name is not stored in the Caller List, the
caller’s information will not be displayed.
The unit does not alert
your cell phone/paging
device.
LThe number has been entered incorrectly.
LLine 1 was busy and the call to the alert number could
not be made.
LAfter three failed attempts to alert a cell phone/paging
device, the unit gives up.
