Copying the IP Messaging Backup Files to the Secondary Server
To copy backup files to the secondary VCX Connect server:
1 Log in to the app account on the primary VCX Connect server.
2 Enter these commands:
cd /opt/3comdata/umsdata/
scp -r <DATE> app@<IP address>:/opt/3comdata/umsdata/
Where:
■ <DATE> represents the name of the directory that was created by the
backupums command.
■ <IP address> represents the IP address of the secondary VCX Connect
server.
Restarting the Servers
1 Reboot the primary server.
2 After the primary server reboot process has been completed, reboot the
secondary server and wait for approximately 5 minutes for the boot
process to be completed.
