36 CHAPTER 2: VCX™ CONNECT SERVER INSTALLATION
To back up the IP Messaging data:
1 Log in to the app account on the primary server.
2 Enter these commands:
cd /usr/app/gen
./backupums
This command creates a new directory here:
/opt/3comdata/umsdata/backup/<DATE>/
<DATE> is the current date in the format YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.
Example: If you run the backupums command on June 27, 2007, and
the command is completed in at 9:35:22 a.m., this directory is created:
/opt/3comdata/umsdata/backup/20070627093522
In this directory, the backupums command places these files:
■ doc.tgz
■ speak.vox.tgz
■ msgm0.tgz
■ msgm1.tgz
■ msgm2.tgz
■ msgm3.tgz
■ msgm4.tgz
■ msgm5.tgz
■ msgm6.tgz
■ msgm7.tgz
■ msgm8.tgz
■ msgm9.tgz
■ pg.tgz
■ table.tgz
■ vmcdr.tgz
■ vmlog.tgz
