Introducing the i2004 Internet Telephone
This section describes: the features and services available on your i2004 Internet
Telephone and some basic functions to get you started using your phone.
Your i2004 Internet Telephone: features and services
Your i2004 Internet Telephone is a device that is as familiar and easy to use as
your traditional telephone, yet capitalizes on all the new capabilities available
from your internet connection. Here are some of the features and services:
Hardware features
integrated 3 port switch
high-quality Voice over IP (VoIP) sound
integrated headset jack
local generation of call alerting, call progress, and dial tones (as well as
support for out-of-band DTMF signaling) to conserve valuable LAN/
WAN bandwidth
dedicated hold, release, handsfree, headset, and mute buttons
user-selectable ringer, speaker, handset, and headset volume
large multi-field LCD display for calling party number, and subject
display (between SIP clients)
wideband-compatible speakerphone (150 Hz to 7 kHz) with acoustic echo
