Enterprise Edge Feature Programming Telephone Guide P0908510 Issue 01
1. Select Terminals & Sets.
2. Select a DN number.
3. Double-click Capabilities.
4. Choose a Handsfree setting: None, Auto, Standard.
There are three ways to set Handsfree for an individual telephone:
Both Auto and standard Handsfree allow you to use a headset with an Enterprise
Edge telephone.
A Handsfree/Mute button is automatically assigned to a telephone that is
programmed with Handsfree and is always located in the lower right-hand corner
of the telephone.
Handsfree Answerback
Handsfree Answerback allows you to answer a voice call without lifting the
receiver. It is always turned off for a M7100 telephone.
You can turn Handsfree Answerback on or off for a telephone that is programmed
to use Handsfree.
You need to start a Unified Manager session to program this feature. See Getting
Started on page 13 for more information.

3. Double-click Capabilities.
4. Choose an HF answerback setting: Yes or No.
Handsfree is not available to the telephone.
You can make or answer a call without having to
pick up the receiver or press

. The
telephone’s internal microphone and speaker turn
on automatically when you press a line or
intercom button to make or answer a call.
