Connecting to the Internet
Before you can connect to the Internet, you must set up a connection to the Internet
by doing one of the following:
Set up a wireless LAN connection to an access point or network (see
Configuring settings for a wireless LAN connection, page 58).
Set up a wireless connection to a mobile phone using Bluetooth wireless
technology (see Setting up a connection to the Internet or a work network using
a Bluetooth-enabled device, page 66).
To automatically connect to the Internet, connect to the access point or mobile
phone and then start using the required program, for example Internet Explorer
Mobile. The handheld connects to the Internet using the connection you have
identified as the default for an Internet connection.
Note – If you have set up more than one wireless network connection, you may need to
manually select the connection you want to use.
Connecting to work
Before you can connect to a work network or Intranet, you must set up a connection to
a work network or Intranet by doing one of the following:
Set up a wireless LAN connection to an access point or network (see
Configuring settings for a wireless LAN connection, page 58).
Set up a wireless connection to a mobile phone using Bluetooth wireless
technology (see Setting up a connection to the Internet or a work network using
a Bluetooth-enabled device, page 66).
Set up a VPN server connection to the network (see Setting up a VPN server
connection, page 59).
To automatically connect to the network, connect to the access point, mobile phone,
or VPN server and then start using the required program, for example Windows
Explorer Mobile. The handheld connects to the network using the connection you
have identified as the default for an Internet connection.
