Troubleshooting
This section describes how to solve common problems you may encounter
when using your Sony handheld. Many problema have simple solutions, so
try these suggestions before you call Sony Customer Information Services
Center.
Note
Thousands of third-party add-on applications have been written for the
Palm OS platform. Sony does not support such a large number of third-
party applications. If you are having a problem with a third-party
application, please contact the developer or publisher of that software.
Operating problems
I do not see anything on my Sony handheld's screen.
Try each of these in turn:
t Tap the contrast adjustment icon and adjust the contrast.
t Recharge the unit. If your Sony handheld still dose not operate, try a
soft reset. See “Resetting your Sony handheld” in “Additional
Information.”
I get a warning message telling me my Sony handheld memory
is full.
t Purge records from Date Book and To Do List. This deletes To Do List
items and past Date Book events from the memory of your Sony
handheld.
t Delete unused memos and records. If necessary, you can save these
records. See explanations for each application.
t If you have installed additional applications on your Sony handheld,
remove them to recover memory. See “Deleting an add-on
application.”
