Creating a user profile
If your company introduce many units of Sony handheld, a predefined
profile containing, for example, a company phone list can be transferred to
these units before deploying them to users.
Notes
• This feature is designed only for first time HotSync operation, before you assign a User
ID to a particular Sony handheld.
• For the procedure to send a profile after setting user names, see “Synchronizing with
external data created on the computer (the File Link).”
Creating a profile
1 Start the Palm Desktop for Sony software.
2 Select Users from the Tools menu.
The Users dialog box appears.
3 Click Profiles.
The Profiles dialog box appears.
4 Click New.
The New Profile dialog box appears.
