Schedule Automatic Firmware Updates
1. Log into the Mitel IP DECT Stand - Configurator web interface.
2. Click Management Settings.
3. Under Management Settings, set the Management Transfer Protocol field to TFTP.
4. Under Firmware Update Settings, complete the fields as described in the following
table.
5. Click Save Changes.
6. Click Reboot. The next time that the stand polls the TFTP server it will detect the new
firmware update and download it to the handsets.

Scheduled firmware
update
If enabled, the IP DECT Stand automatically
checks your TFTP site for new firmware
updates based on the polling schedule and
automatically downloads new files. If this field is
set to disabled, no checking is done and
firmware update files are not downloaded.

Polling method Used to configure the polling method. You can
configure the stand to poll (check) for a
firmware update on your TFTP site at a specific
time each day (Absolute), or to poll at a regular
time interval (Relative).

NOTE
The duration of a firmware update is about 15 minutes per handset. The handsets
are updated serially (one handset at a time) with the firmware. All handsets that
are associated with an IP DECT Stand will not be operable until they are all
updated with the new firmware.
