Receiving a Long Trunk Alarm
About the
LTA/VER key
When a trunk (outside line) is connected longer than a
predetermined time, the long trunk alarm/verification
(LTA/VER) key flashes.
Procedure To determine if a conversation is in progress on the line:

Press the flashing <LTA/VER> key.
A tone signaling the interruption is sent to the
connection and your display updates to indicate the
connected trunk:

Listen for a conversation.

If a conversation is in progress, press <START> to
exit.
4
If a conversation isnt in progress, press <CANCEL>
to unlock the connection and free the trunk.
Note: The time-out period is set by your system
administrator and you do not receive the long
trunk alarm if the connected station has data
privacy activated.
