Caution
Use a backup battery only if you are not using AC to power your Cisco VG224 voice gateway. Do not
use AC and DC power at the same time. If you do, the unit stops operating, and you need to reboot it
with only a single power source.
Note
We recommend a 12-volt automotive battery if you require longer periods of battery backup (up to
8 hours).
Figure 3-15 shows the DC power connector. See Table 3-5 for pinout information for the DC power
connector on the Cisco VG224 voice gateway.
