the call for a long distance call, or pressing

will set or cancel an area code (see
“Setting the Area Code” on page 28). Ô
Storing Caller ID messages in the
Phonebook
Messages shown in the Caller ID list can be
stored in the phonebook. The phone
number and name of the party on the Caller
ID list can be stored in memory. Ô
1. When the phone is in standby mode,
view the Caller ID message to be
stored.
Then press the
EDIT
soft key.
2. Press
CID/VOL/
or
REDIAL/P/
to
select
Store into PB?
, and the
OK
soft key. If the Caller ID message is
already stored in memory, you will hear
a beep and

appears. The number will
not be stored.
3. To complete the setting, follow the

Dial” on page 38-39.

• When a long distance
call has been set,

appears in the display.
• If a call comes in via a
telephone system that
does not offer Caller ID
service, no information is
stored.
• If the Caller ID message
was received as a
private/unknown
number, or the message
does not have the
number, you cannot
store the message in the
Phonebook. If it was
received as private/
unknown name, the
message will be stored
as <No Name>.
• Even if the 100 memory
locations are full, the
message will be stored
in the Phonebook.
However, the message
will be erased from the
Caller ID list.
