To delete messages during playback using
the handset
You can delete messages during playback, but
not while the message number announcement is
being made.
• Press (
DELETE ).
• Handset displays
DELETED and voice says
‘Message deleted’.
• Additional messages are played and can be
deleted in turn.
• After deletion of the final message, and if all
messages have been deleted, the symbol
disappears.
• Display shows
DELETED.
• Voice says: ‘Message deleted. End of messages’.
• Handset displays
LAST FWD DEL for 8 seconds
after end of announcement.
Base station displays
8 and starts an 8 second
countdown, at the end of which the handset
returns to standby.
Base station shows
0.
• Message indicator disappears from
handset display. If any messages have not
been deleted, they are stored and
renumbered in order of arrival.

To delete all messages using the handset
FWD DEL LAST
After playing the last message the display
confirms the number of stored messages.
You hear the announcement:
‘End of messages. To delete all messages press
DELETE.’ (i.e. ).
The handset display shows
LAST FWD DEL for 8
seconds at the end of the announcement. To
delete all messages press the button
during the time that these options remain on
the display. (The base station counts down
from
8-0 indicating the 8 second countdown.)
Two seconds after selecting DEL you hear
‘All messages deleted’.
• Handset displays
CANCEL. This gives you the
chance to cancel the delete option and save
your messages. Deletion will be complete if
you do nothing at this stage.
Handset display returns to
PLAY.
