Remote access
A four-digit security code is required to access
your answering system from any touch tone
phone. This code is 5000 by default; see page 56
to change it. The system will wait up to 10 sec-
onds for each digit entry.
If you reach the system via remote access, enter
the four-digit remote access code when the outgo-
ing message is playing.
After hearing a double beep, enter one of the fol-
lowing commands.
NOTE: If you pause for
more than five seconds during
remote access, you will hear a
voice prompt to press 5 for help.
The system will repeat this mes-
sage every five seconds. After it
announces it for the third time and
no valid command is issued, the
call will disconnect.
NOTE: If the answering sys-
tem is turned off or if the memory
is full, the system will pick up the
next incoming call after 10 rings
and ask for the remote access
code. If the correct code is not
entered after 3 tries, the call will
be disconnected.
