Outgoing announcements
Outgoing announcements is the message callers
hear when calls are answered by the answering
system.
The phone is preset with an announcement that
answers calls with “Hello. Please leave a message
after the tone.” You can use this announcement, or
replace it with your own recording.
Recording your announcement
• Press ANNOUNCE.
• Press VCID once to reach the Record screen.
• Press SELECT/MENU.
• When the screen shows Record after tone,
speak facing the MIC at the bottom front of the
telephone base from about nine inches away.
• The elapsed time (in seconds) will be shown
in the message window when recording. The
announcement is limited to a maximum of 90
seconds in duration.
• When finished recording, press /PLAY/STOP.
• A confirmation tone will sound and the record-
ed message is played back.
• Press CANCEL and exit the Record option menu.
Playing your announcement
• Press ANNOUNCE.
• Press SELECT/MENU when Review is shown on
the screen.
Deleting your announcement
• Press ANNOUNCE.
• Press ^DIR so that the screen shows Delete.
• Press SELECT/MENU.
• A confirmation tone will sound and the screen
will show Announcement Deleted.
