Message playback
If there are new messages, the screen on the
handset will show new message, and the red light
at the top left corner of the handset will flash,
and the number in the message window on the
telephone base will flash, indicating the number
of new messages. Press
/PLAY/STOP to listen to
the recorded messages. The system announces the
number of messages, then begins playback.
If there are new messages waiting, you will hear
only the new messages in reverse chronological
order, with the latest one first. If there are no new
messages, the system will play back all messages in
reverse chronological order.
Announcements
When playback begins, you will hear the total
number of messages. You will hear the date and
time when the message was received before it is
played.

• Press
/VOLUME to adjust the speaker volume.
• Press /SKIP to skip to the next message.
• Press /REPEAT to repeat the message cur-
rently playing. Press twice to hear the previous

Deleting all messages
To delete all messages, press DELETE while the
phone is idle (not during a call, or during message
playback). You will be prompted to delete all mes-
sages. Press
SELECT/MENU to confirm and press
CANCEL to exit.
NOTE: Messages deleted
cannot be retrieved again.
NOTE: The answering
system automatically dis-
connects the line after seven
consecutive seconds of silence
unless either the handset or the
base goes off hook.
NOTE: This operation deletes both the old messages and unre-
viewed messages.
NOTE: If PLAY/STOP is
pressed immediately after
deleting a message, the following
message will be classified as old.
NOTE: Even though a
message has been delet-
ed, the CID record for the call will
indicate that a message was left.
