Text Messages
Section 7
• Accounts: View your current accounts, or set up a new
account.
• Text Messages: Select the SMS account for sending
messages.
• Outlook E-Mail: Select the Outlook account for sending
messages.
3. Tap on the options you want and then perform the
functions listed or view the folder’s contents.
Text Messages
You can send and receive text messages with other users
that have SMS (Short Message Service) capability. Text
messaging, or SMS messaging, can be sent from one
device to another by addressing a message to the
recipient's phone number.
Create and Send a Text Message
1. Tap Start, then tap Messaging.
2. Tap New.
3. Enter the phone number(s) of up to ten recipient(s) in the
To field. Place a semicolon between numbers, if there is
more than one.
Note: To select a number from contacts, tap at the bottom of the
screen and select from your list of contacts.
4. Tap the Subj field and enter a title for the message.
5. Tap the message area and enter a message using the
desired method of input. When finished, tap the double
drop down arrows to the right of the Subj field.
