Enter text using the dialpad
Follow this procedure to use the dialpad to enter text.
On the dialpad, keys numbered 2 through 9 each have three letters
associated with them. When entering text, press the key once to enter the
first letter, twice to enter the second letter, and three times to enter the
third letter.
The letters Q and Z do not appear on the dialpad, but are available. Q is
associated with the 7 key, and Z with the 9 key.
Prerequisites
A screen where you can enter text must be active on the handset.
Procedure Steps
Step Action

To enter text, find the number key associated with the letter you
want to enter.
The letter appears on the display.
2 To enter the first letter press the key once.

To enter the second letter press the key twice

To enter the third letter press the key three times.
