Configuring DECT system
information
Before you can make a telephone call using the DECT handset, the
handset must be subscribed to a DECT system. The handset can be
operated with a maximum of ten DECT systems.
Note:
When the handset is not yet subscribed to the system, the
display shows
No Subscription
.
Use the System menu to perform the following tasks:
• “Subscribing the handset to a DECT system” on page 74
• “Manually selecting the DECT system” on page 76
• “Enabling automatic DECT system selection” on page 77
• “Deleting a system” on page 78
• “Editing the system name and phone number” on page 79
• “Checking the Equipment ID (IPEI)” on page 79
To carry out the following steps, you must be familiar with the use of the
handset controls; see “Handset controls” on page 15.
Accessing the System menu

Subscribing the handset to a DECT system
The handset must be subscribed to at least one DECT system before it
can be used. Ask your system administrator to subscribe your DECT
handset to a system.
1. Press the Menu soft key.
2. Press the arrow keys to scroll and highlight the
System option.
3. Press the OK soft key.
