To use the Memory control panel to stop programs
1. Open the Memory control panel, and then tap the Running
Programs tab to check the state of your active programs.
2. To stop a running program, select a program in the list, and then tap
Stop.
To use HP task switcher to stop programs
1. In the Today screen, tap the HP task switcher icon.
2. On the pop-up menu, tap Close Window and then tap Close All.
Adjusting settings
Use the HP settings application to quickly change settings such as screen
brightness and contrast and speaker volume, to display system information
such as memory status and remaining power, and to change display, button,
and power driver settings.
To start HP settings
1. On the Start menu, tap HP settings.

Press and hold the HP home menu hot key.
The Settings tab
On the Settings tab you can adjust the screen brightness and contrast, adjust
the speaker volume to suit your work environment, and check the remaining
power. You can also mute the speaker by selecting the speaker mute check
box.
