26 Getting Started
Icon Description
Phone Make and receive calls, switch between calls, and set up
conference calling, or use speakerphone.
Pictures & Videos View, organize, and sort picture and video files on
your device or a storage card. Captured photos are stored in the My
Pictures folder, and video clips are saved in the My Videos folder of
your device.
Pocket MSN Send and receive instant messages with your MSN
Messenger contacts, as well as access your Hotmail account.
PowerPoint Mobile View PowerPoint slides and presentations,
including transitions.
Push to Talk Provide you with a “walkie-talkie” like feature that allows
you to instantly talk to the others by simply pressing one button.
Search Search contacts, data, and other information on your device.
SIM Manager Manage the contacts that are stored on your SIM card.
You can also use this program to copy SIM contents to Contacts on
your device.
Tasks Keep track of your tasks and sync them back to your Task list
on your desktop PC.
Terminal Services Client Log on to a PC running Terminal Services
or Remote Desktop, and use all of the programs available on that PC
from your mobile device.
Voice Speed Dial Record voice tags so that you can dial a phone
number or launch programs simply by speaking a word.
Windows Media Play back media files -- audio or video files.
Word Mobile Create, view, and edit Word documents.
ZIP Free up storage space on your device by compressing files in the
conventional ZIP format.
Proxy Manager The proxy on/off setting is by default set to ON.
Under most circumstances, this is the setting that should be used.
Note: However, the IT department for a corporate user may have a custom APN
configured for their users. Please contact your IT department for more information.
If the IT department has configured a custom APN, then the Proxy On/Off setting
should be turned OFF while the corporate services are being used (Note: Some
AT&T data services will not be available for use while the corporate data services
are being used). When the use of the corporate data services is complete, then turn
ON the Proxy On/Off setting so that the AT&T data services can be used as needed.
