BIRDIES
All radios can receive "birdies" (undesired signals). If your
scanner stops during Scan mode and no sound is heard, it might
be receiving a birdie. Birdies are internally generated signals
inherent in the electronics of the receiver. Birdies are especially
present at the 16MHz level (Internal CPU clock).
Press L/O to lock out the channel, then press SCAN to resume
scanning.
