Chapter 4: Communications Programming
This chapter explains the keypad commands for
communications programming of the Model 1104,
including interrogation and resetting of the following:
• The Unit ID Number
• Dial-out Telephone Numbers
• Tone or Pulse Dialing
• Special Dialing with Pagers, Beepers and Access
Numbers.
• Rings Until Answer and Telephone Answering Device
Compatibility
• Listen-in Time
• Call Delay
• Local Voice Mute
• Voice Repetitions
• Intercall Time
• Maximum Number of Calls
• The Clock
• Security Code
4.1 The Unit ID Number
The Unit ID Number is the identification number of the
Model 1104. This number may be the same as the telephone
number where the unit is installed, or it may be designated
using any number that best suits your application.
The purpose of the Unit ID Number is to immediately provide
the source of any alarm, especially when using multiple
Model 1104 units in a complex monitoring system. When
the Model 1104 is called from a remote location, it always
begins its message with the identification number:
“Hello, this is telephone number (Unit ID Number).”
