Each time a pause, pound (#) or asterisk (*) is
incorporated in a programming sequence, it is
counted as one digit toward the total of 32 digits
allowed.
4.4.2 Incorporating a Pause
Incorporate PAUSE to access an outside telephone line:
1. Press SET.
2. Press PHONE NUMBER.
3. Press any unassigned number key (from 1 to 4) to
represent the new telephone number entry. Model 1104
will respond: “Enter number.”
4. From the number keys, enter the access digit (i.e., 9).
The Model 1104 will recite the digit.
5. Press PAUSE. The Model 1104 will “beep.”
