SSID This is the service set identifier (SSID) that allows
you to connect to any available access point.
The default is “blank” when you connect to an
infrastructure network.
You and the wireless site you want to connect to
must use the same SSID. This identification
number uses a maximum of 32 characters and is
case sensitive.
Power Management The default selection is “No.” Selecting “Yes”
will provide lower performance and use less
power.
Network Choose: Infrastructure to connect to a wired
network via a wireless access point (the default).
Ad hoc for peer-to-peer communications.
Region You are required to select your region from the
list or the option “Rest of the World” if your
region is not available.
Channel The default is “Auto.”
You do not need to specify a channel if you are
using an infrastructure network. It will use the
same channel as the access point.
Otherwise, set the frequency that corresponds to
your country’s regulatory commission’s range
and the 802.11b standard.
Transmission Rate The default is “Auto.”
This is the wireless data transmission speed. You
can select speeds of 1, 2, 5.5, or 11 Mbps.
