5.DSC Operation
5.6.4 Transmitting All Ships call
Large ships use Channel 70 as their ‘listening channel.’ When
you want to announce a message to these ships, use the ‘All
Ships Call’ function.
q Push [
DSC/ENT
] to enter the DSC menu.
w Rotate [
CHANNEL
] to select “All Ships,” push
[
DSC/ENT
].
e Push [
DSC/ENT
] to transmit the All Ships call.
•Channel 70 is selected and the All Ships call is transmitted.
•Routine category only is available.
r After the All Ships call has been transmitted, the display
changes to Channel 16 automatically.
t Push any key to exit the condition and the display returns
to the normal operation.
