Common Issues
If your phone is not performing to your expectations, please try these simple steps rst. If these steps do not solve

Symptom Suggestion
The charge LED won’t
illuminate when the handset is
placed in the cradle.
Make sure the AC adapter is plugged into the base or the charger (if you have
more than one handset) and wall outlet.
Make sure the handset is properly seated in the cradle.
Make sure the charging contacts on the handset are clean.
The audio sounds weak.
Move the handset and/or base away from metal objects or appliances.
Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
Can’t make or receive calls.
Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
Make sure the line is not in use. If an outside call is already using a line,
you cannot use that line to make another outside call.
Make sure your handset is registered to the main base unit.
Check both ends of the base telephone cord.
Make sure the AC adapter is plugged into the base and wall outlet.
Disconnect the AC adapter and reconnect.
Change the Digital Security Code (see page 50).
Severe noise interference.
Keep the handset away from microwave ovens, computers, remote control toys,
wireless microphones, alarm systems, intercoms, room monitors, uorescent
lights, and electrical appliances.
Move to another location or turn off the source of interference.
The Caller ID does not display.
The call was placed through a switchboard.
Call your telephone provider to verify your Caller ID service is current.
There may be a problem with your Caller ID service.
