Using the Answering System
Turning Your Answering System On and Off
From the base From the handset
Turning On
With the phone in standby, press 1) [on/off].
The system announces “Answering System 2)
is on” and plays the current greeting.
The 3) message counter LED displays the
number of messages stored in memory.
If the counter ashes, then you have new
messages waiting.
Press 1) [menu/clear]. Select the ANSW.
SETUP menu, and then the ANSWER
SETUP submenu.
Move the cursor to select ON.2)
Press 3) [select/
]. You will hear a
conrmation tone.
Turning Off
With the phone in standby, press 1) [on/off].
The phone announces “Answering System 2)
is off.”
The 3) message counter LED is no longer
illuminated.
Press 1) [menu/clear]. Select the ANSW.
SETUP menu, and then the ANSWER
SETUP submenu.
Move the cursor to select OFF.2)

]. You will hear a
conrmation tone.
