Tie-line Connections of Exchanges
1. Purpose of tie-line connection
The EXES-6000 system incorporating the CP-66 central
processing unit permits the use of a single exchange as
well as the tie-line connection of 2 or 3 exchanges.
The tie-line connection is used when
1) connecting 2 or 3 exchanges installed in locations
which are remote from each other (Maximum
distance: About 2km. Cable: 0.65mm in diameter).
2) one more exchange, in addition to the existing
exchange, is required for system expansion.
