Priority Station Paging
Normal station paging calls are not audible at the busy
stations, but the Priority Station Paging can break in on
such busy stations.
< Example 1 >
1. Dial
(zones: 1 ~ 7, all-call: 0),
(zones: 01 ~ 31, all-call: 00), or
(*01 ~15)
(combination zones: 80 ~ 99).
If there is a busy station, the conversation is interrupted
and the paging call is allowed to go through, while trans-
mitting a holding tone to the conversation partner
placed on hold.
2. The converstion is restored when the paging is finished.
(*)
3. To respond to the paging call during the conversation,
first terminate it by depressing or by replacing a
station handset and then dial or (Zone
No.) (Zone paging or combination paging response) or
or (All-call response).
* When the EX-610 or EX-610 is used.
* The conversation is not restored if the Privacy switch
is set to ON. (In the EX-6000 system, it is possible to
page or respond to a paging call even when the Privacy
switch is ON.)
Notes.
(1) Dialling keys while receiving a station paging call
makes the call inaudible at that station and connects
that station to the called station.
(2) When the called station is being paged, a busy tone
is transmitted to a calling party and he can "camp-
on". Refer to Example 2.
(3) When a paged zone (Zone 1) has a station placing a
paging call over the other zone (Zone 2), a party
who has paged the zone 1 is put in the "Camp-on-
busy" mode. Refer to Example 3.
(4) For the Priority Station Paging function, stations
(consetive numbers) in each paging zone, which can
be interrupted during conversation, must be pro-
grammed at the station No.200. This is also required
to programme the zones for automatic paging re-
sponse (see Note 2 of Paging) and station groups
having acess to incoming telephone calls.
(5) Even when the Priority Station Paging function has
been adopted, by establishing the station No.200
programming (Function Code 39) desired stations
can be made to refuse a priority paging call when
they are busy.
(6) When the system incorporates Station paging and
PA paging at the same time, employ the Zone
number dialing method for the
paging response. Also, set up "Station No.200
programming" for Priority Station paging. If the
Automatic reeponsing method is em-
ployed, then "No.200 programming" need to be
set up for every station and conversation is inter-
rupted each time the external PA paging is made.
